Hi,

I agree completely with you on Schumpeter's point of creative destruction. Development can be sometimes about losing control over the existing status quo and bring with it a plethora of problems.

But, what is the alternative? We have aldready experimented with 50 years of a controlled economy. And, with the economy in take-off mode, I wonder how many would advise caution.

Maybe the answer lies in controlled chaos then. Perhaps, it is better to gently nudge social norms into adaptibility, and corporates into green regulation, than sit and ruminate on the 'bucolic' good old days.

Having said that, your writing is almost mellifluous. Makes for an interesting read.
